We are committed to providing you with the highest level of care. As a member of the South Simcoe Family Health Organization (FHO), our office offers patients improved access to health care.
Your family physician is your first contact with the healthcare system. He or she will provide you with primary health services like diagnosis/treatment, illness prevention and health education.
Here's what it means to you:
- • Your family physician will see you during regular office hours
- • Your family physician (and other family physicians in the FHO) will provide extended hours on evenings and weekends.
What is the South Simcoe Family Health Organization (FHO)?
We are a group of like-minded family doctors located in South Simcoe, who work together to provide after hours care to our patients. We feel strongly that the best care for you and your family is both comprehensive and continuous and your family doctor is in the best position to provide you with both. However, we know that health issues often arise after hours and our goal is to provide you with quality urgent care and avoid unnecessary trips to both walk in clinics and, when appropriate, to the ER.
Please note, we are not a walk-in clinic. All patients must be registered with a FHO physician in order to receive an after-hours appointment.
Same-Day Appointments
Our office keeps a number of time slots available for same-day urgent appointments. If you have an urgent health concern, please contact our office during our regular business hours on Monday through Friday and we will do our best to give you a same-day appointment.
After-Hours Clinics
After-hours services are provided regularly to patients of the Family Health Organization. Our typical weekly schedule is Monday – Thursday, 5:00pm – 8:00pm. Weekends: call for times and locations as these can vary. Click the link below to view our current schedule.
We strongly discourage our patients from using outside walk-in clinics.
As a patient of the South Simcoe FHO, you have access to any South Simcoe FHO physicians. When you seek care within our Family Health Organization, physicians are able to relay information about your visit (including the nature of the health issue, any medication prescribed, and any tests that were ordered) to your primary care physician. In contrast, any time you visit an outside walk-in clinic, we do not receive any reports regarding your visit.
Before seeking attention outside of the South Simcoe FHO, or going to a walk-in clinic, we ask that you call our office or after-hours location first. Should you have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact our office.
